Mr. Manselle, along with the help of AGS and LGS Science teachers Mrs. Evans and Mrs. Wulff provided a unique learning opportunity for our students. Through collaboration with the U of I we were able to do a weather balloon launch from AHGS. Students heard a description of what a weather balloon is and how it is used. To end the presentation the representatives from U of I launched the balloon complete with video and GPS tracking. Currently our dedicated science teachers are on the journey to find the balloon and bring back the data. 7th and 8th graders throughout the district will be reviewing this data.
