My time in quarantine has been nothing but uneventful. I have spent almost every single day since March 14th lounging around my house. Before the whole COVID-19 situation got super serious, I spent a few days out and about with a few friends, but once the shelter-in-place policy went into effect, I have left my house three whole times in the last two weeks.

A normal day for me starts at roughly 11:30 a.m. when I wake up. I begin by eating brunch, normally some eggs or maybe a frozen pizza, if I’m really feeling the lunchtime vibes. After eating, I do some school work, and then end up falling asleep and taking a 2-hour nap. Waking up from my nap usually leads to a snack, some time outside, and sometimes more school work.

Since the track is closed, I have to improvise on my workout space. Around 3:30 p.m., I workout in my dad’s shed, in my garage, in my driveway, or on the road. It’s pretty hard to hurdle on the road and in the shed, but I make the best of it.

By around 5 p.m., I’ve cleaned my room… again (it’s become a daily thing). I’ve also had some time to do laundry or color. Before dinner, I normally take another 1 ½ or 2-hour nap and then eat dinner. Around 8 p.m., it’s time to binge some Netflix and watch far too many TikTtoks. I typically watch Netflix and TikToks until 10:30 or 11 p.m. I am also usually on Facetime with some friends at this time.

It’s time to get ready for bed around 11:30 p.m. I shower and get ready to go to sleep, but I don’t end up falling asleep until around 2:30 or 3 a.m. The time between showering and going to sleep, I Facetime or I color some more.

My days are typically pretty boring, but I’m making the most of my time and staying safe by not leaving the house. It definitely is not the most fun, but it could always be worse. I can’t wait until this is all over, especially so I can see my friends and get back to my normal life and normal routine.
