  • Female Athletes: Grace Williams will be speaking today during 8th hour to female athletes in the old gym. The topic of discussion is athletics in college. She participated in the US Rowing program and trained in Berlin Germany. She then attended Duke University on an athletic scholarship for rowing where she rowed for two years before retiring with a knee injury. While she was injured, she served as a liaison within the athletic department to fulfill her scholarship obligations. After graduation from Duke with a dual degree in global health and psychology, she attended Georgetown University and received a Masters of Science in Global Health degree. She is currently a Senior Consultant at a healthcare consulting firm in Washington DC

You can create a poster and then take a picture of it to digitize it, or you can create the poster digitally.  Turn them in to Mr Davis by sharing them with him from your Google Drive. Entries are due by Friday at 3:13.  First place will win $50, second place $30, and third place $20.

  • Homecoming Songs The homecoming dance committee would like to know the songs you would like to hear at the dance. A link to the form is included in the posted announcements!  Homecoming Song Requests

  • Football @ Cerro Gordo 7:00pm (Bus 4:45pm) Cerro Gordo HS is undergoing construction on the south side of the building by the football field, which has limited parking in the main parking lot. Visiting fans should park in the grass lot on the southwest side of the football field and enter through the west gate. Access to this lot is off of Madison Street.

  • Today's Constitution Fact: Today is the last day to turn in your poster for the Constitution Week contest.  $50 to the winner, and an opportunity to tell others what rights you appreciate.  Final fact for the week. The founders of our country gave us a republic, which means the people we elect are to say what we would say if we were present in Congress. When functioning properly our form of government allows for the most diverse set of opinions to be considered before laws are passed.  The people have a voice and it matters.  Most people in the world are talked to by their leaders.  We are listened to by ours.
