If you received something that wasn’t yours please bring it back to the filing cabinet in front of the school so we can hopefully find the correct owner. May 10, 2020 Good Afternoon Atwood-Hammond Grade School families. The final meal and packet distribution will be Monday, May 11 from 9-11 am. The learning packets distributed this week will include your child's missing work and any final end of the year letters or information. All work needs to be returned at distribution on May 11. Teachers are basing the pass and incomplete grade on the completion of these work packets. Packets must be completed in order to receive a pass, otherwise it will be marked incomplete. If you are not picking up meals we ask that you come get your child’s updated learning packets and return completed work anytime from 3-5 pm on Monday, May 11. Place your child’s completed work in some sort of bag with their name, grade, and homeroom teacher on the front that would be wonderful. Remember, both procedures will be run as a drive through. Come into the East parking lot. A staff member will be out there to “check” you in and we will bring materials to your car. In order to practice social distancing we ask that you just open your trunk and we will place materials in the trunk. If we cannot get into your trunk we can place things in the backseat or hand them to you through the window. Please have your child’s completed work in a bag in the trunk or ready to hand through the window as well. We will make sure it gets to the correct teacher. Thank you for your cooperation in this process.

May 3, 2020 Good Afternoon Atwood-Hammond Grade School families. Meal distribution will be Monday, May 4 from 9-11 am. The learning packets distributed this week will include your child's missing work. The remainder of this year will be spent completing the remote learning packets that have already been sent home and focusing on staying connected. If students have completed the work we ask that they still remain in communication with teachers and staff. Teachers will still be reaching out to students to check in and use this time to help focus on the social and emotional well being of our students. Teachers are basing the pass and incomplete grade on the completion of these work packets. Packets must be completed in order to receive a pass, otherwise it will be marked incomplete. Work will be returned for students to complete if it was turned in not finished. If you are not picking up meals we ask that you come get your child’s updated learning packets and return completed work anytime from 3-5 pm on Monday, May 4. Place your child’s completed work in some sort of bag with their name, grade, and homeroom teacher on the front that would be wonderful. Remember, both procedures will be run as a drive through. Friday, May 1st is School Lunch Hero Day. Over the past 5 weeks, your school cafeteria staff has been working tirelessly making sure your kiddos get fed in what has been uncharted and scary times for us as parents/guardians. In our area districts, we have provided upwards of 10,000 meals a week safely in a 1 or 2 day prep period. While the stay-at-home order has been in place, these people have put their energy into 3rd gear to make sure that no child has to go without. The passion behind that is miraculous and has been amazing to be a part of! Now you ask, what do we need from you and your kiddos? On May 1st, School Lunch Hero Day, have your student post a video simply saying thank you and maybe what the meals have meant to them. Another option would be to take a photo of your child with a drawn picture/kind words to the cafeteria staff as well. What would be even more cute is if they had some type of "superhero" outfit on in the picture or video! Tag @Aramark in your post! These woman and men deserved all the attention and thank you's possible! Please realize just how powerful there dedication has been through all of this! Good Afternoon Atwood-Hammond Grade School families. Meal distribution will be Monday, April 27 from 9-11 am. If you are picking up meals during that time we will continue to put your updated learning packets in with your meals. When you come to pick up meals please bring your child’s completed work. Teachers are basing the pass and incomplete grade on the completion of these work packets so it is extremely important that your child does this work. Work will be returned for students to complete if it was turned in not finished. If you are not picking up meals we ask that you come get your child’s updated learning packets and return completed work anytime from 3-5 pm on Monday, April 27. If you can place your child’s completed work in some sort of bag with their name, grade, and homeroom teacher on the front that would be wonderful. Remember, both procedures will be run as a drive through. We ask that you come into the East parking lot. This helps ensure that when we deliver the meals and/or updated packets we can retrieve the completed work without making physical contact as well.

Parents: want to challenge your student to a Quickslither game? We have a special log in just for you www.reflexmath.com you will log in as a student. Your teacher name is ahgs then click on the For Parents class. You will see add/subtract parent. Click on that, the password is ahgs. This will let you play around on some of the games without increasing the facts your kiddo knows. (The system tracks the ones they have/haven't mastered on their accounts so using this would be helpful if they aren't at 100%.) Never tried to have more than one person log in at the same time on the same account so if you are playing and get kicked out, that could be the issue. We will cross our fingers that doesn't happen.
