District #305 Education Foundation

101 PEOPLE WHO CARE UPDATE
Hoping you have heard about this fundraising initiative of the District #305 Education Foundation but if you have not we will be having a meeting at La Cascada at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 20. At this meeting we will share how funds raised through this effort are used for our students, faculty and schools in the district through grants, scholarships, computer support, etc. We invite those who have already become members to join us on that date and also those who are interested in finding out what we are all about. We will have a presentation from teachers involved with "Knightly Reading: A Family Literacy Event." Every student in kindergarten through sixth grade across the district has received a copy of the book, "The Chocolate Touch," and families are encouraged to read it together. Knightly Reading has been supported in part by the Education Foundation and we are pleased to be able to share with the public just how the funds raised by the Foundation are used.
