Dear Arthur CUSD 305 Parents and Guardians,

Good afternoon, we hope that you are staying healthy and are navigating these difficult and challenging times.  We wanted to reach out and update you with the most recent information that we have available. The Governor made the announcement today that the stay at home order and the suspension of in person learning have been extended through April 30th.  This means the earliest we would be able to return to school would be May 1st unless the order is lifted.

Although this news isn’t positive, I am proud of the Administration and the Teachers of Arthur CUSD 305 as we have been able to review and approve a Remote Learning Plan for the district moving forward.  The Remote Learning Plan is developed utilizing the recommendations set forth by the Illinois State Board of Education. The plan is customized and developed for the needs of our students and our communities in the Arthur CUSD 305 school district.

Our main goal during this shutdown has been to assist in taking care of the basic needs of our students and families.  This will continue to be the focus moving forward and we will have an added focus of providing learning opportunities for our students.  In order to maintain consistency in the process of providing those learning opportunities we will continue with the schedule that was established and utilized this week.  Breakfast and lunches will be provided for pick up on Monday’s from 9am-11am. Families participating in this program may pick up their learning packets during this time. For all others, learning packets can be picked up at your son/daughters school between 3pm-5pm.

We strive to be considerate to family needs and resources when developing the Remote Learning Plan.  Our teachers and administrative staff are committed to providing the most support for our students, families and communities during this unprecedented and uncharted time.  I am so proud of all of our staff, students and communities during these trying times. Thank you and please stay healthy. We also encourage you to visit our website where a wonderful list of information has been established related to COVID 19.    https://www.cusd305.org/o/arthurcusd/page/covid-19--94

The Arthur CUSD 305 Administrative Team
