Good Friday afternoon CUSD #305 students, staff, families and community members. As you have probably already heard the Governor has ordered schools to remain closed for the remainder of the school year.
Although this mandate means that we will not be returning this school year and that many questions will now need to be answered, rest assured we will regroup, gather all the information needed to move ahead and we will get through this together.
My confidence in our students, teachers, support staff, board of education, administrators and communities has continued to soar with every passing moment of this pandemic. Students continue to show great perseverance in adjusting the way they learn, teachers continue to reach out and provide whatever supports are needed, the administrative staff continues to fight to provide every possible solution imaginable for our kids, support staff continue to keep the operations of the school running smoothly, the board of education continues to provide the supports necessary to move forward and provide for all of our kids, and our communities continue to adjust to the new demands put upon them in order to make sure all are supported.
I am so grateful and thankful for the opportunity I have been provided to work and lead in such a special place. We want you to know that we miss you all greatly and we are here for all your needs moving forward. We will get through this and we will get through this together!
Finally, to our class of 2020, I will not pretend to express that I understand the emotions that you are feeling, but please understand this, we are going to continue to fight for you. We are going to continue to explore options to provide you with the proper recognition and celebrations you so deserve. We will continue to plan, coordinate and explore whatever ideas and options that are available and we will continue to keep you informed. Hang in there with us, we will get through this together!
