HIGH SCHOOL BUSINESS TEACHER

Arthur Lovington Atwood Hammond High School is looking for a Business Teacher starting second semester of the 2025-2026 school year. The HS Business Teacher is responsible for HS Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs to provide high school students with meaningful, hands-on career training across multiple pathways. We are seeking dynamic, innovative educators who are passionate about preparing students for success in college, careers, and life in the following areas: 

  • Computer Applications

  • Business Education

  • Financial Services

  • Consumer Education

  • Workforce Education

  • Career Education

  • Cooperative Education (Co-op) 

Qualifications include a valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate CTE, work study and business endorsement(s) or eligibility to obtain.  Capable to adapt and grow curriculum and courses as student interest changes and keep current with the CTE business world. Comfortable using a variety of technologies in the classroom. Must have the ability to communicate successfully with parents, co-workers, and administration. ARTHUR CUSD 305

SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST

Arthur CUSD 305 is looking for a school psychologist. This position is a district-wide position covering students ages Pre-K through age 21. The school psychologist will be responsible for case study evaluation as well as intervention planning and problem-solving within the response to intervention framework. ARTHUR GRADE SCHOOL

JUNIOR HIGH SCIENCE TEACHER

Arthur Grade School is currently accepting applications for an opening for a Junior High Science Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Candidate will teach sections of 6th-8th grade science. Successful candidates will have knowledge and understanding of common core standards, Next Generation Science Standards, RTI, and differentiated instructional practices, and create a student-centered, highly effective, and engaging learning environment. Qualifications include: Valid IL certification/licensure for middle school science. Salary is based upon education & experience per negotiated contract agreement. HOMEBOUND INSTRUCTOR

Arthur Grade School has a student who is in need of homebound instruction.  This will be approximately 7 weeks. Details regarding instruction will be provided.   Based upon education & experience per negotiated contract agreement. Hourly rate is $28 and can be found in the Collective Bargaining Agreement between Arthur CUSD 305 and the Arthur Education Association.

CUSTODIAN

Atwood-Hammond Grade School is currently accepting applications for a building custodian to join our staff. Duties include but not limited to: general cleaning, minor maintenance, snow removal, etc. Qualifications include: High School Diploma or equivalent, must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and pass a background check.  Salary/Benefits: Full-time with benefits. ARTHUR CUSD 305

ASSISTANT TO THE DIRECTOR OF MAINTENANCE

The Assistant to the Director of Maintenance supports the daily operations of the maintenance and custodial departments. This role provides hands-on assistance with groundskeeping, custodial coverage, and general maintenance tasks to ensure facilities and grounds are safe, clean, and well-maintained. The position requires flexibility, reliability, and a willingness to assist wherever needed. Salary/Benefits: Full-time with benefits. Yearly range is $40,000-$49,000 per year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director of Maintenance with day-to-day operations and task coordination

  • Support grounds crew with mowing, trimming, landscaping, and seasonal upkeep

  • Fill in as a substitute custodian/janitor as needed, including cleaning classrooms, restrooms, and common areas

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks and minor repairs

  • Help monitor facility conditions and report maintenance or safety concerns

  • Assist with setup and teardown for events or activities

  • Operate and maintain equipment and tools safely and properly

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures

  • Assist with inventory and organization of maintenance supplies

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Previous experience in maintenance, custodial work, or groundskeeping preferred

  • Ability to operate maintenance and lawn care equipment

  • Basic knowledge of building maintenance and repair

  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team

  • Dependable, flexible, and willing to take direction

  • Good problem-solving and communication skills
