Arthur CUSD News Graphic

Dear Arthur CUSD 305 Parents and Guardians,

Once again we thank you for your cooperation and flexibility during this time. We thank all of our volunteers and kitchen staff that have been working hard to prepare the weekly meals, and assist in the distribution of those meals.  Our teachers have been working over the past week to create materials to provide to your students on a weekly basis. We are working hard to prepare packets and will have them ready for you to pick up on Monday, March 30th.

Pick-up of the learning packets will look similar to meal distribution. Our goal is to have students and families not enter the building and deliver materials to cars to practice the social distancing guidelines that have been set. If you are picking up meals from 9:00-11:00 am on Monday your packet/materials will be delivered to your cars with your food bags. If you are not picking up meals we will have learning packets/materials available from  3:00-5:00 pm each Monday at your son/daughters respective schools. Packets will also be available electronically, but we will provide hard copies in the event your student needs one. We ask that you return completed work at the next pick-up day which will be Monday, April 6 from 3pm-5pm at your son/daughters respective school.  If there are specific questions related to meal pick-up and or learning packet distribution, please call or email your student’s Principal.

As stated before, we continue to face a situation that is in uncharted territory for us as a school district and we want to make sure our students are able to receive the best education possible. By teaming up with you, the parents and guardians, we can work together to build the bridge between home and school.  The purpose of these activities is to help your child engage in learning opportunities while outside of the classroom. Your cooperation in this will help your children learn the importance of keeping their brains “active” and learning.

As this situation unfolds things may change. Make sure you are watching your social media, checking email, and listening to all calls during this time. We have also been using video conferencing such as  Zoom and Google Meets. Teachers may be reaching out to your students using this form of communication. If procedures or plans change we will communicate with you as quickly as we can.

Sincerely,

The Arthur CUSD 305 Administrative Team
