Good afternoon Knight Families:
Today marks an important milestone this year... the midterm of our first quarter! We are halfway to the end of the first quarter. Please check your student’s grades in Skyward. All progress reports will be posted there Monday. Call the office if you need help logging into your Skyward account.
Picture Day is Tuesday! With all of the rules and guidelines it will take us most of the day to get these accomplished but we are excited to be able to have them. You can order pictures online at inter-state.com/order. Enter 53154PA when it asks for an order number. A couple of extra notes about pictures this year ....
Permanent remote students should have an email with information and options.
Temporary remote students will be able to have their pictures taken on our makeup date. As soon as we know that date, we will post it! This includes senior banner pictures as well.
Seniors should dress up! These pictures are not only for the yearbook but we use these for newspaper articles and the alumni pictures too!
Seniors in any sport including marching band, will have their senior banner picture as well! These will start at 1:30.
Please mark this date down... Wednesday, October 14th ALL juniors and seniors will be taking the PSAT/NMSQT and the SAT here at school. The SAT (the one seniors are taking) is a state graduation requirement. If they aren’t able to take it in October, they will need to sit for the exam in April. Freshman and sophomores will be in school remotely on this day. Students will be learning more details as the date gets closer. Please let me know if you have questions or concerns .
This week we joined the other Douglas County High Schools to show our support to Mrs. Sigrist, the Arcola High School Principal, who has been recently diagnosed with a rare form of cancer by wearing purple! Here is the video we sent her. Your students were great in sporting purple to send her good wishes. Even our remote learners sent pictures in. Our Knight Family has big hearts and looked good in purple!
