Hello Knight Families:

Our first week is officially in the books and we are off to a great start. As some of you are celebrating your student’s first day of high school or maybe if you have a senior, their last first day of school, we also are celebrating with Mrs. Frye.  She will be retiring at the end of the school year, so she too celebrated her last first day of school!  Congratulations to Mrs. Frye and all of our students that are marking these important milestones!

This week is filled with reminders as we are back in the swing of things.

We are fortunate to have the option for your student to be rapid tested for COVID at school, if he/she begins to exhibit symptoms during the school day.  Please find attached the permission form for this should it become necessary.  You will be contacted to provide verbal consent PRIOR to any testing being done. We will also send a paper copy home with your student next week.

Tonight we are hosting our Red and Gold Night and announcing all of our fall athletes and our marching band.  We will have a soccer scrimmage followed by a football scrimmage!  Come out and meet our Knights.  It is unbelievable how many members of our student body are involved.

If you are headed to the Apple Dumpling Festival parade tomorrow afternoon, look for our Marching Knights as they are debuting their new marching tune. The parade kicks off at 2 p.m. and they sound fantastic.

We will be dismissed at 1:15 everyday next week due to the forecasted heat. Any changes to athletic practices will be communicated by the coaches. We are also kicking off our first volleyball, soccer, cross country and football games in the coming days.  The whirlwind of high school has begun!
