Recycling @ AGS

The recycling program kicked off at the end of October. The junior high students worked hard on making posters telling what to put in bins and what not to put in bins. They are collecting recycling from their assigned rooms on Wednesdays.

  • 5th-8th grade students, in art and science, have been creating recycled wreaths to decorate the hallways of AGS. They turned out great! They were used at the AGS K-3 Christmas concert and will also make an appearance at the 5th-8th grade band and chorus concert.

  • In January we will start the collection competition between grade levels. Students will weigh the recycling collected each week and keep track of it. They will create a data board that will be on display in the main hallway, so everyone can see how much recycling is collected. There will be prizes given out at the end of the quarter.

  • There will also be a junior high lunch bunch book club for the book Watershed by HN Deeb. It is a dystopian novel about what happens when the water supply runs very low.
