Weekly Wrap

Dear Knight Families,

PBIS: We are tying our 4th quarter goal into our building wide reading goal. Our goal is that 80% of our students will meet their individual reading goal for the year. If they are unsure of what their goal is they need to ask their teacher or Mrs. Patterson. Hopefully they enjoy this goal and get the chance to read some good books!  Students can earn individual reading awards based on the number of books they read. Each level comes with its own rewards! Pick up a good book and help us reach our goal!

Currently we have read over 13,000 books. Keep reading and help us reach our school-wide goal!

April 11-15: IAR TESTING

Our 3rd through 5th grade students completed their IAR testing this past week. We are so proud of how hard they worked. Testing makes for long days but the kids always surpass our expectations and push through the week. Thank you to the parents for helping make sure your students arrived at school on time and were well prepared!

We will be holding our state testing for our 6th-8th graders next week. The students have been working on state standards all year long. These assessments are very important to our school. They help identify what areas our students are strong in and what areas they may need extra support. Please talk to your students and encourage them to try their best on these assessments. It is EXTREMELY important that your student is in attendance for these assessments. Our entire day is scheduled around them. Students are not allowed to start the test and stop. Once they start they must stay for the entirety of the exam. If you have appointments scheduled during these weeks we ask that you please reschedule them so students are in attendance.

Please take note that we have a School Improvement Day scheduled for Thursday, April 14. Students will be dismissed at 1:15 on this day. Friday, April 15 there is no school.

Have a wonderful weekend!
