Child Development Class & FCCLA students volunteered at 'Ag Safety Day' held for local 5th graders. Our students helped at the "Disabilities Awareness Station" where students were given a scenario of an injury, such as loss of a finger, and the resulting impairment. ALAH students helped students do simple tasks while having that impairment, like use a wheelchair, color, change a diaper, play catch, butter bread, and more.

Last week Spanish classes at ALAH learned all about Día de los Muertos or Day of the Dead! This Mexican holiday brings people together to celebrate and remember the lives of those who have passed. The week involved presentations, creating "ofrendas", watching movies, celebrating with Mexican food and drinks and decorating the language hallway.
