FACS class students had a chance to taste test a new variety of foods. Frosted Mini Wheats, Gluten Free Oreos, Ding Dongs, Grape Juice and Cheese Pizza Cheez It’s.


To recognize National Popcorn Day many FACS classes watched ‘The Food that Built America’ Pop Stars episode. And then got to taste 4 different popcorn flavors—Butter, Cotton Candy, Cheese and Kettle Corn.


Students were able to attend Exploration Day at the LIFT Tech Center in Mattoon. They learned about the different programs offered and participated in hands-on demos in Culinary Arts, HVAC, IT, and Construction. They even had a tour in Communications from an ALAH alumni!





Foundations to Teaching students visited Arthur Public Library yesterday to search through Children’s Books for upcoming projects.

Mrs. Beckmier and two of her ag students, Noah Shoemaker and Brody Louden, presented at the school board meeting about their drone project through the University of Illinois Extension.
