EIU Practicum Student, Ms. Miles has been teaching lessons on Knife Skills and Cutting Techniques in Foods Class. Today students made Ramen Stirfry and had to demonstrate various cuts with their vegetables.

Congratulations to this year’s DAR/SAR Good Citizen Award winners Brady Moore and Kaylee Schrock. The winners are chosen based on their patriotism, dependability, service, and leadership.
FCCLA members and FACS class students prepared and served a Veteran’s Day meal on Friday, 11/11. Their menu included pork loin, hash brown casserole, green beans, rolls, drinks and pumpkin pudding parfaits. Thanks to all who attended prior to the ALAH Veteran’s Day Assembly.
Foods students have had fun in class practicing various knife cuts using Play-Doh and plastic knives. Later this week they will do demonstrate their knife skills on potatoes and other vegetables.
ALAH FCCLA Members & Mrs. Voegel attended the IL FCCLA Section 7 Fall Conference on Wednesday. Members participated in a Plarn Making Service Project & attended workshops on team building, sign language & competitive events. 9 different schools were present at the event.
