Arthur CUSD #305 is gearing up for summer break. While summer presents an opportunity to relax and enjoy the sunshine, we want our students to continue to find ways to learn while away from the classroom. We have an exciting reading program available through Sora which provides free 24/7 access to age-appropriate ebooks and audiobooks. What better way to engage your student’s mind than through reading? Starting May 12 – August 25, 2025, the Sora Sweet Reads program will offer a collection of grade-appropriate ebook and audiobook titles that will be prominently displayed in Sora for quick and easy unlimited access. Foods class completed a Hands On Appetizer Lab as their final.
Bacon-Ranch Cheeseball, Beef Street Tacos with Homemade Guacamole, Pigs in a Blanket, Stuffed Mushrooms and Cheese Dip were their choices. They tasted each others and the Beef Tacos proved to be the favorite.

ALAH teachers and athletic director were honored at the May school board meeting last week by two of their students. Family and Consumer Science Teacher Ginger Voegel was honored with the FCCLA "Spirit of Advising" award at the 2025 Illinois FCCLA State Leadership Conference. Social Studies Teacher Doug Davis was chosen as the VFW District 11 "Teacher of the Year". Athletic Director and Assistant Principal Nathan Seal was named the 2025 Division 5 Athletic Director of the Year by the Illinois Athletic Director Association during their annual conference. Congratulations!
