Good morning Knights! Just a reminder that the Douglas County Health Department will be at the high school administering the COVID vaccine for those that are interested. The vaccine clinic will begin at 4pm and will end at 6pm. Originally the health department had expressed that they will offer both the J & J vaccine as well as the Pfizer vaccine, but they contacted us this morning to inform us that they have only received the Pfizer vaccine. The Pfizer vaccine will be available from 4pm to 6pm tomorrow at the high school, in the main gymnasium. Thank you and have a great rest of the week.
COVID-19 vaccinations will be available on a walk-in basis at Arthur CUSD #305 on Wed., Aug. 4 from 4 to 6 p.m. for anyone interested in receiving one. Douglas County Health Department will be bringing and administering Pfizer and J&J vaccines, free of charge. The vaccinations will be administered in the new gymnasium at the high school which is located at 301 East Columbia Street, Arthur.
Pfizer is a two-dose regimen available to ages 12 and up, while J&J is a one-dose vaccine for ages 18 and up. Please be aware that a 15-minute observation period is required after receiving your vaccine, and you cannot have had any other type of vaccination in the prior 14 days. DCHD will have all relevant paperwork on site. Minors receiving a vaccine will need to have signed parental/legal guardian permission. Similar vaccine clinics are also being held at other Douglas County school districts. Please consider taking advantage of this opportunity to make yourself and your community safer and healthier.

Lunches available for pickup Monday-Friday at our meals sites in Arthur, Atwood and Garrett Park in Douglas County.
Summer Meals is open to all youth 18 and under, regardless of income.
Douglas County Summer Meals began Monday, June 7th and ends Friday, July 30th, 2021.
Meal pickup time/locations will be:
• Arthur 11am-12pm at Arthur Elementary School
• Atwood 11:15-12:15pm at United Church of Atwood
• Garrett 11:30-12:30pm at Garrett Park

If you do not have access to a computer or device to register your child, please call the school office to schedule an appointment time to come in and register on one of our chromebooks. If you are using your phone to register, you must go to Skyward through your browser (Chrome or Safari) to register. It will not allow you to register through the Skyward app.

Free Lunches for 18 yrs and younger now until July 30th! Provided by the Douglas County Health Department, Yoder's lunches will be available for pick up at the Arthur Grade School north circle drive from 11am-noon Monday-Friday. You can also go to the Douglas County Website to sign up for a meal with your name. You don't need to sign up but it does help them gauge the number of meals needed.

Arthur Lovington Atwood Hammond High School is seeking an organized and responsible Administrative Assistant to join our high school office staff. This position is full time, 11 month, hourly position. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working professional able to undertake a variety of office support tasks and comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion. Candidate must be proficient in technology, show initiative, flexible and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. The ability to learn new programs, including athletic scheduling software, is a must. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. Everyday duties include managing the High School office, assisting the athletic director, working with various forms of technology, communicating and supporting students, parents, faculty and administration as well as handling sensitive information in a confidential manner. Due to the weather conditions forecasted for this evening we will be postponing 8th grade promotion. As stated before, the rain date is tomorrow (Saturday, May 29) at 10:00am at the Arthur Lovington Atwood Hammond High School Football Field. Gates will open at 9:00am. Please use the same promotion tickets you were going to use for the original date. Students need to arrive by 9:30am to line up. We are looking forward to celebrating with our 8th graders.
