  • Happy Birthday to Mit Appleby!

  • Summer Work: Students, if you are interested in working for the school over the summer please complete the online application. These positions will start work on May 27th and pay is $14 per hour. Hours are 6am-3pm Monday through Thursday and 6am-10am on Fridays. You must be 16 years old by May 27th. This is a great way to earn money over the summer! 

  • Elections: If you plan on running for Student Council or Class officer, election petitions are due to Mrs. Sluder tomorrow! Please note that no late petitions will be accepted. 

  • Juniors and seniors:  If you plan to attend prom, your RSVP is due to Mrs. Rafferty by next Friday, April 19.  This includes paying $40 per person, signing up for a table, and turning in a guest form.

  • Prom Guest Forms - If you intend to take a guest to prom that is not a ALAH HS junior or senior, then you need to complete a Guest Request Form and turn it in by next Friday. 

  • Post Prom Permission Forms - post prom permission forms are available in the office. If you are going to post prom please pick one up.

  • Friday pictures - Any students that have worked at The Great Pumpkin Patch or the Homestead Bakery are invited to wear their TGPP or THB merch on Friday for a picture to be used for their yearbook ad. 

  • Student of the Month : Congratulations to Lindsay Rohacs who was named student of the month yesterday at a breakfast for nominees during flex yesterday. 

  • Congratulations to the 2024 prom court: Brooklyn Matheny, Claire Seal, Kaylee Thompson, Lucy Wilber, Garrett Casteel, Hunter Grant, Connor Nettles, and Landon Waldrop. Be sure to check your email for a message from Mrs. Rafferty. 

  • Early Dismissal - School Improvement Day 1:00 pm

  • Field Trip - FCCLA Springfield

  • Softball at Heritage.  Game 4:30, bus time 2:40 pm, dismissal time 2:25 pm 

  • CANCELED Baseball in Lovington vs. Villa Grove at 4:30 pm 

  • One Good Fact: The wavy swirls of toothpaste frequently seen in advertising are called “nurdles.” In 2010 the companies behind Colgate and Aquafresh sued each other over ownership of the nurdle design, each claiming the other shouldn’t be allowed to show it. Eventually they settled out of court without disclosing details.
