Hello Knight Family:
It has been a phenomenal week on Broadway at ALAH! From the decorated hallways and themed dress-up days to the creative floats, and culminating today with Macho Volleyball, a spirited pep rally, and our parade—it has truly been a week to remember.
A huge thank you goes out to our class sponsors: Freshmen – Ms. Rund and Mr. Parks, Sophomores – Mrs. Hart and Mrs. Tibbetts, Juniors – Ms. Wendt and Mr. Reel, and Seniors – Mrs. Singer and Mrs. Rafferty. These teachers have given countless extra hours, shown endless patience, organized their classes, and helped students take the lead in problem-solving and planning.
Another big shout-out goes to our Student Council and their sponsor, Mr. Lee. They have been planning since July, and their dedication this week has been unmatched. The amount of time and energy they’ve poured into making Homecoming a success is remarkable, and we are so grateful for their leadership. I am not sure how they have squeezed all of the extra work into their already packed days!
Of course, everything leads up to the Homecoming Dance tomorrow night! Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., with Coronation beginning at 7:00 p.m. The dance will conclude at 10:30 p.m. Please remember that this year we are implementing a new check-in/check-out system, which will automatically email primary guardians when their student arrives and when they leave the event.
In addition to all the excitement of Homecoming, the Knights have had a fantastic week in activities and athletics. We’ve celebrated big wins from marching band, JV football, soccer, cross-country, golf, and volleyball. We’re hoping to finish strong tonight with another victory when we take on Arcola/Cerro Gordo/Bement. Go Knights!
Although October seems a bit quieter than Homecoming Week, I have no doubt it will be packed with more activities and events.
Mrs. Seegmiller
