Hello Knight Family:
It’s been a fantastic four-day week at ALAH! On Tuesday night, our volleyball team clinched the LPC Championship, and the hallways were alive with music from the band and chorus as they continue to prepare for our upcoming Veterans Day program. In Ag Mechanics, students have been practicing surveying with their tripods, while the transportation class designed and raced mousetrap cars through the halls. And that’s just a glimpse of all the exciting things happening at ALAH this week.
Did you think only elementary students celebrate Halloween? Not true! Our Student Council is planning not just their annual costume contest for Friday morning, but also a full week of dress-up days. Categories for Friday’s contest include Scariest, Funniest, Best Duo, and Most Creative. The contest will take place in the east gym before school starts and prizes will be awarded!
The next three weeks are packed with activities, including our Student Council Blood Drive on Tuesday, October 28, the juniors will take a practice ACT on Tuesday, November 4th, our fall play Vintage Hitchcock will be performed on Friday and Saturday, November 7–8, followed by our traditional Veterans Day Program on Tuesday, November 11 at 1:00 p.m. You and your family are welcome to attend all of these events—details are provided below.
