Hello Knight Family:
January has certainly tested our grit! Between the winter weather and those dark, icy commutes, just getting to the building has been a feat of its own. A huge shout-out to our families for the extra effort it takes to get students out the door and to school safely— we appreciate you.
While the "winter grind" is real, our students are thriving. A massive congratulations is in order for our Scholastic Bowl team, who are off to a blistering start this season! They currently hold an impressive 6-3 record. It’s wonderful to see their hard work in the classroom translate into such a dominant performance in competition.
Along with our brain-bowl wins, the building is buzzing with prep: the Drama Club is logging long hours for the musical, the Pep Band is tuning up for their final home games, and FFA members are deep in their winter contests and record books. We are even seeing the seasons shift in real-time as basketball charges toward the end of their season and our track athletes begin their early conditioning.
Our Marketing Class is currently putting their business skills to the test with two hands-on projects! If you want to support student learning (and cross some items off your Valentine's list), here is what they have available:
Knight License Plate Brackets: Show your school spirit on the road! These are designed and sold by the class to learn the ropes of product distribution.
Crush Cans: A Valentine’s tradition! Students can purchase a "Crush" soda for a friend or that special someone to be delivered on Valentine's Day.
Proceeds from these sales go directly toward supporting the class's project goals of going out for a steak lunch!
