Hello Knight Family:
Our seniors have officially returned from their historic trip to Washington, D.C.! This tradition, which dates back to 1953, proved to be a powerful rite of passage for the Class of 2026. Over the course of five days and seven states, students stood on the floor of the House of Representatives, reflected at the Holocaust Museum, and explored the Smithsonian. Whether they were riding Segways through the city or viewing the Constitution in person, the trip was a beautiful blend of history and bonding. We are so proud of how they represented our school, and while they might be catching up on sleep now, these memories will undoubtedly last a lifetime.
The excitement continues this weekend with Prom 2026! The dance will be held this Saturday, May 9, at Penn Station in Arthur from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Doors open at 6:30 PM for those who wish to take photos against our backdrop. Dinner and dessert will be served at 7:00 PM, followed by the Coronation of our King and Queen at 8:15 PM. We will wrap up the evening with the Junior and Senior class songs at 10:00 PM and 10:30 PM, respectively. We look forward to a safe and elegant evening for all our students.
As we look toward the final stretch, please note that seniors will finish their regular classes this Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday will be a celebratory day featuring the grade school graduation walks, official graduation pictures, and a special senior luncheon sponsored by Master Brand. For all returning students, the Summer Chromebook Checkout form is now live in the Skyward family portal. We strongly encourage families to complete this form so students can take their devices home, which will assist us greatly during our upcoming school move. Please ensure you click "Submit" after filling out the form; it must be completed by May 20 (the first day of finals) to take the device home. If you need assistance, please call the office.
Finally, please mark your calendars for next week’s schedule. There will be no school on Friday, May 15, as this is an unused snow day. We hope everyone enjoys the long weekend and takes some time to recharge before we head into the final days of the school year.
