Dear Knight Families,
It is hard to believe, but we are already halfway through the first semester! This is a great time to pause, check in with your student, and talk about how things are going both inside and outside the classroom. You should have received some good old-fashioned snail mail from the high school this week with your student’s grades, ACT scores from last spring, and an invitation to sign up for Parent-Teacher Conferences. Please take a few minutes to review the information together and make plans to join us for conferences. Staying connected and working together makes a difference, and we appreciate your partnership as we continue to help every Knight find success!
A quick reminder that each student is required to complete two volunteer service hours each school year as part of their graduation requirements. Opportunities to earn these hours are emailed directly to students, but they are also welcome to find volunteer opportunities on their own. Service hour forms are available at school or on our website. Please encourage your student to take advantage of these opportunities throughout the year rather than waiting until the last minute!
Class fundraising is also continuing! We have approximately 200 discount cards left to sell! Students have the opportunity to sell cards at the grade schools during parent-teacher conferences or sell them independently to family, friends, and community members. Every card sold earns the student $10 toward their senior trip.
And have you heard about the fantastic fall our Knights are having? Congratulations to our Cross Country team for bringing home second place at the conference meet and to our Volleyball team for winning the conference tournament! And our Marching Band earned third place at their latest competition! We are proud of the hard work and dedication our students continue to demonstrate. Our football team is on the road to Nokomis tonight, so let's cheer them on! Enjoy the long weekend, and we will see everyone back at school on Tuesday!

Additional notes:
Our attendance average this week was 93%!
Have you signed up for parent teacher conferences? Look for the tile in Skyward that says Parent Conferences Oct.
