Hello Knight Family:
In our Flex Period next week, our students will be reviewing our soft and hard lockdown drills as well as what to do if there is an active intruder. In the coming weeks, we will have our official active intruder drill. You will receive notice in advance of this drill and our students will know when this drill is going to happen. Our goal is not to traumatize or scare anyone, but for us to be prepared in case this situation would ever occur.
In our calendar year, we are one quarter of the way through our first semester. Our remaining weeks will fly and we will soon be talking about semester exams. Please take advantage of Skyward and check your student’s grades, reach out to your student’s teachers if you have any questions or concerns and most importantly encourage your student to do their best. We have student coaches and teachers in the math and writing center every day during 8th hour. Most teachers are also available to provide extra help or answer questions during 8th hour.
On the activities front, Knights football plays in Cumberland tonight. A win tonight would make us 3 and 1! Varsity Golf was in Mt. Zion all day playing in a tournament and volleyball won last night to be 7 and 4! Soccer is headed to Tuscola tomorrow morning, Marching Band has their first performance at Monticello and the Cross Country runs in Tuscola. Watching our Knights compete has been bringing a lot of joy to fans and parents!
