Hello Knight Family:
NHS and Arthur Rotary Club partner each month to honor an outstanding ALAH student. We are looking for students who stand out amongst their peers in the areas of attendance, improvement/maintenance, participation, organization, & best effort. This month we are excited to celebrate all of our nominees.
The nominee breakfast will be Wednesday, October 5th where the winner will be announced. The winning student and their family will be invited to attend Rotary in October along with a teacher that has made an impact on the student.
It’s finally here … HOMECOMING WEEK!
Student Council has been working long before school started on planning the best Homecoming Week ever! Class sponsors and class officers are busy planning for hall decorating and float building! There are spirit contests and games all week long. Details are below and we hope you will encourage your student to join the fun! We not only work on our hallways and floats outside of the school hours, but there are also ways to be involved during flex period and study hall! It’s so much fun to watch our students work together and be creative. I am thankful I am not a judge! Our theme is the Wild, Wild West.
Sunday - Thursday Hallway and float building begins! Each class arranges individually, so have your student check their email for specific information.
Monday
Hallways are judged
Spirit day is dress up as Soccer Moms and Grill Dads.
Tuesday
Dress as your favorite celebrity!
Guest forms for the dance are due by the end of the day in the office
Wednesday
Western Wednesday - dress in boots, cowboy hats, etc.

Doors for dance open at 7 p.m. - tickets are $10 per person. They may be purchased online through GoFan or students may pay at the door. If students would like a professional picture taken at the dance they are $5. The forms are available in the office and can be turned in by Thurs., Oct. 6th or students can turn in the form and pay at the dance.

*We still have lots of homecoming dresses available at no cost. They are on the stage and available for anyone.
*If your student needs a ride to the parade, they have a form to fill out in their email.
We also have two home soccer games, the varsity volleyball team is in the conference tournament, golf is headed to sectionals, band is performing three times within this week and there are two cross country meets! That’s a lot of information! We are all looking forward to a fun week.
Coming up the week of October 10th … no school on Columbus Day. our juniors take the PSAT/NMSQT on Wednesday October 12th and we are officially half way through the first semester.
