Hello Knight Family:
On Monday, December 19 during our flex period we have two exciting things happening. We are having a December Graduates Reception for our 13 students that are graduating at the end of the semester as well as our annual Knight Cookie Walk. A fun celebration for one of our final days. Watch for posts on social media.
Monday evening ALAH High school and the National Honor Society will host our first Haircuts for the Holidays event from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Stylists & barbers from the surrounding communities have donated their time to offer complimentary haircuts for CUSD #305 students in the high school cafeteria. Haircuts will be available on a first come, first serve basis. Elementary & middle school students will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. High school students are free to attend on their own.
Tuesday and Wednesday bring final exams and the end of the semester. Final exams are 20% of each course. We also have a longer lunch time on Tuesday and Wednesday. I have included the schedule below. Our 8th hour study hall on Wednesday is optional for students that don’t have outstanding detentions. The shuttles will be here for pick up at 2pm. Students that do not need to ride the bus, may leave after 7th hour on Wednesday. Our faculty have been reviewing with students this week
*Reminder: Seniors that earned above a 1000 on their SAT are exempt from exams if they are in good standing. These students are only excused on Tuesday and Wednesday. Monday is still a required day of attendance.) Many of our students enrolled in dual credit courses were required to take those exams prior to next week’s schedule. If your student took their exam from EIU or Lake Land, their attendance next week for that class may be optional!

Jostens delivered class rings this week and we found out that letterman's jackets are being shipped directly to homes. If your senior ordered a souvenir tassel, please have them stop by the office to pick it up.
Winter break starts Thursday, December 22nd and students will return on Wednesday, January 4th. We hope that everyone enjoys the much deserved time off!
