Good Afternoon Atwood-Hammond Grade School families. Meal distribution will be Monday, April 13 from 9-11 am. If you are picking up meals during that time we will continue to put your updated learning packets in with your meals. When you come to pick up meals please bring your child’s completed work. If you can put it in either a ziplock bag or a walmart bag with your child’s name, grade, and homeroom teacher on the front that would be appreciated! We will make sure it gets to the correct teacher. If you are not picking up meals we ask that you come get your child’s updated learning packets and return completed work anytime from 3-5 pm on Monday, April 13. Again, if you can place your child’s completed work in some sort of bag with their name, grade, and homeroom teacher on the front that would be wonderful. Remember, both procedures will be run as a drive through. We ask that you come into the East parking lot. A staff member will be out there to “check” you in and we will bring materials to your car. In order to practice social distancing we ask that you just open your trunk and we will place materials in the trunk. If we cannot get into your trunk we can place things in the backseat or hand them to you through the window. Please have your child’s completed work in a bag in the trunk or ready to hand through the window as well. This helps ensure that when we deliver the meals and/or updated packets we can retrieve the completed work without making physical contact as well.

In addition, the IESA Organizational Music Contest has been cancelled for this spring. Keep practicing on your own while continuing best standards for social distancing.

Recieved word today from the IESA that the state Scholastic Bowl and Track and Field finals this spring have been cancelled. Thank you to all the coaches and students that have dedicated your time and efforts in preparation for the season. We have great thing in store for us!

Good evening Arthur CUSD 305 Families, Today it was announced by Governor Pritzker that the stay at home order has been extended through April 30. Please check your emails, social media, and our website for links to the forms to order the food pantry delivery for this Friday morning and a separate form for the breakfast and lunch pickup for next Monday, April 6. Both of these are free to all families in our district and need to be filled out each week for planning purposes. Please make sure to sign up for both of these by this Thursday, April 2 at noon. Good afternoon everyone. We hope you have had a peaceful Monday so far. First and foremost, a huge shout out and thank you goes to the kitchen staff at each building in the district and the administrative team. The kitchen staff started early preparing and bagging meals and several staff members volunteered to come in and help distribute the meals to our families. We provided 2,560 meals for our families and we couldn’t be more grateful for all that helped! Again, we have no idea if the mandated shut down of schools will continue but rest assured that we are planning and preparing in order to be ready. Please continue to check your social media accounts as well as email for any updates. We are developing a form that we will distribute tomorrow or Wednesday that will be asking you to sign up if you want to receive meals next Monday. When we send this out, please take the time to fill it out as this will help all of us prepare to serve you more effectively. Thank you again for your patience and understanding as we continue to manage these uncertain times together. So proud of all that have reached out with a willingness to assist, a kind word or a simple thank you. You are appreciated and we are so proud of our communities. Stay tuned for continued updates. Good afternoon! Thank you to all of our staff that came out and helped distribute meals this morning. We had a great turnout! If you were unable to come pick up food for any reason and you still need some please call your respective building. We will work with you to make arrangements to get you what you need.
