Ice explorers. Preschool is learning about penguins and ice. We used droppers to melt tubs of solid ice and we painted with colored ice.
Pre-registration for Kindergarten students for the 2021-2022 school year is being held now through Friday, February 12.
Any student who will be five years of age by September 1, 2021 and resides in the Arthur School District #305 is welcome to pre-register. Parents are asked to bring the child’s legal birth certificate to the school and will receive a health record packet to be filled out by a physician, dentist and optometrist. Requirement for entering school are as follows:
Up to date vaccinations
Proof of lead screening
Health physical
Dental exam
Eye exam
When you are pre-registering your child, please drive into the circle drive by the school office and call 543-2109. Do not enter the building. Someone will bring your registration packet to you.

Did you know when you dissect an owl pellet you can find what they ate? Is it a bird, mole, shrew, or a mouse? Fourth graders are having so much fun finding bones from these animals.
Arthur Grade School is looking for a full-time one-on-one aide. Candidates must have a paraprofessional license. Candidates may assist in all areas of the building including, but not limited to the lunchroom, classrooms, outside duties, and any other areas needed to help students. For more information, you can contact Mrs. Hale at the AGS office and fill out our online application on our school website.
Arthur CUSD 305 is able to offer free meals for students who pre-order for the week. This form MUST be filled out by noon on Thursday, January 21 to order meals for the Week of January 25.

PARENT WORKSHOPS ON GOOGLE, SEESAW, AND CLASS DOJO!
Calling all parents and guardians! In January, the Regional Ed. Tech Coordinator, Holly Kelly, and the Remote Outreach Specialist, Colleen Kaplan, with the Learning Technology Center of Illinois, will be hosting workshops for guardians and parents on Google Classroom, Seesaw, and ClassDoJo. The same workshop is offered three different times throughout each day to allow for flexibility with parent/guardians' schedules. Through demonstration, parents will learn how to help their student(s) navigate Google Classroom, Seesaw, or ClassDoJo.
THE WORKSHOP WILL BE AN OPPORTUNITY FOR PARENTS TO ASK QUESTIONS REGARDING EITHER PLATFORM AND HAVE A CHANCE TO BETTER HELP THEIR STUDENT.
