In science, third graders have been learning about how different apple varieties are created through the process of selection. Today they got to test four varieties and vote on their favorite. Honeycrisp was off the charts!!

The bookfair will be open for in-person shopping during Parent/Teacher Conferences on Wednesday, October 27 and Thursday, October 28 from 4:00-8:00 pm. HS volunteers will be on hand to supervise your child at the bookfair while you meet with their teachers.

Third graders read about another country’s challenges to accessing books. Today they presented their findings to the class!





Third grade is loving the book A Boy Called Bat. We named our pet Milly, and Chloe loved taking her home in the pet carrier she designed.



This is a reminder that today is School Improvement Day. Students will be dismissed at 1:00 from the high school and 1:15 from the grade schools.

How cute is our 4th grade class pet Shirley in her new pet carrier? She went home with Halle last night and got to see a Girls basketball game. Who will she go home with next?

This is a reminder that tomorrow is early dismissal for Homecoming. High school will be dismissed at 1:00 and the grade schools will dismiss at 1:15. The homecoming parade starts at 2:00 in Arthur. #GoKnights

Eastern Illinois University is now accepting applications for its one-year Accelerated Post-Baccalaureate Teacher Licensure Program.
This program will begin in late May 2022 and leads to licensure in 12 months.
Applicants must hold a degree in the specific content area for which licensure is sought prior to beginning the program.
Available endorsement areas and grade spans include:
English (9-12)
Mathematics (9-12)
Science (Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, Physics) (9-12)
Social Science (History) (9-12)
CTE (Business, FCS, Technology) (5-12)
World Language (French, German, Spanish) (PK-12)
