This is a reminder that this Thursday, December 10 is a School Improvement Day with an earlier dismissal of 1:00 at the high school and 1:15 at the grade schools.
Please note that next Thursday and Friday, December 17th and 18th we will continue to dismiss at 1:17 pm for the high school and 1:30 for the grade schools instead of 2:00 that was posted on our original calendar.
Attention AHGS Families!! Starting Monday, December 7th, the Student Council will be hosting a Birthday Bag Drive and Penny Wars! This will be a competition between grade levels with the winning classes earning either a donut party or a pizza party!
ALL the items donated and money collected will go towards making Birthday Bags that benefit our very own community!
We can’t wait to see how many bags we can make! #GoKnights
Douglas County Health Department has released their COVID testing schedule for December. Please see attached image for info and dates.
Arthur CUSD 305 is able to offer free meals for students who pre-order for the week. This form MUST be filled out by the end of the day on Thursday, December 3 to order meals for the Week of December 7.
Pick up times for each building is as follows:

7th and 8th grade AHGS students are currently selling Laundry Detergent, Dishwashing Detergent, and Trash Bags! Our goal is to have each 7th and 8th grade student sell 10 items. Please contact a student or Mrs. Binion if you would like to make a purchase.

The Arthur CUSD 305 CEO class has worked with other area schools who participate in the CEO program to have a class business. The CEO students have chosen to sell masks. Today is Kindergarten Friendsgiving Day! We celebrated with Mrs. Nall as our special guest reader, we had a yummy turkey feast in the cafeteria, learned about Thanksgiving, and shared what we are thankful for with our own thankful bags!

The Douglas County Health Department COVID hotline # (1-801-997-0019) will no longer be operational after Nov. 30, 2020. Any calls to DCHD, COVID related or not, should be made to the main phone number at 217-253-4137.
There will be no COVID testing at Douglas County Health Department the week of Nov. 23-27, 2020 due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Drive-thru testing will resume Monday, Nov. 30 on the regular schedule of Mondays-Thursdays 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The testing site is Building J600 at Tuscola Outlet Mall, between Old Navy and Vanity Fair.
