Good Evening Atwood-Hammond Grade School Families. If you checked your email in Skyward tonight please disregard that message. A corrected one was sent through our ThrillShare app. Here is some important end of the year information. The last day of school is now May 15. All work must be completed and turned in by this date to receive a Pass grade for the 4th quarter. We will continue to have meals distributed through this date. Food pantry orders will continue through May 29th. All families need to come for drop off and packet pick up on Monday, May 4. We will be distributing students personal items from classrooms or lockers as follows:
Preschool through 5th grade on May 4th during packet and meal distribution times. 6th through 8th grade items will be distributed on May 11 during packet and meal distribution times.
This will continue to be a drive up system. Please remain in your vehicles.
Please make sure to return all classroom novels and library books.
Thank you for your cooperation during this process.

We want to say THANK YOU to everyone who has participated in the challenges! The staff has loved getting to see our students and connect with them during this time. We hope you have enjoyed it as much as we have!
Today is our last challenge of the year! We want to hear about what you are looking forward to being able to do as soon as life returns to normal! Play with a friend, have a sleepover, go shopping, go out to eat, play on the playground, go to SCHOOL?!? 😀
Something new and exciting will be starting tomorrow!! Be sure to check it out!

Something new starting tomorrow! We want you to guess the AHGS Mystery Knight! There will be a a picture of a staff member as a child/baby and we want you to guess that staff member in the comments! Friday, May 1st is School Lunch Hero Day. Over the past 5 weeks, your school cafeteria staff has been working tirelessly making sure your kiddos get fed in what has been uncharted and scary times for us as parents/guardians. In our area districts, we have provided upwards of 10,000 meals a week safely in a 1 or 2 day prep period.
While the stay-at-home order has been in place, these people have put their energy into 3rd gear to make sure that no child has to go without. The passion behind that is miraculous and has been amazing to be a part of!
Now you ask, what do we need from you and your kiddos? On May 1st, School Lunch Hero Day, have your student post a video simply saying thank you and maybe what the meals have meant to them. Another option would be to take a photo of your child with a drawn picture/kind words to the cafeteria staff as well. What would be even more cute is if they had some type of "superhero" outfit on in the picture or video!
Tag @Aramark in your post!
These woman and men deserved all the attention and thank you's possible! Please realize just how powerful there dedication has been through all of this!

Monday, April 27!! The sun is shining (for now) and the Quickslither score is ready to be beat.

We are ready for distribution! Food and packets this morning from 9-11 for those that pre ordered food. Packet distribution from 3-5! Don’t forget to bring back completed work!

In April 1828—Noah Webster published the first American dictionary. For today’s challenge we want you to invent a new word and tell us the definition of it!!! We can't wait to see your new words!!

Good Afternoon Atwood-Hammond Grade School families. Meal distribution will be Monday, April 27 from 9-11 am. If you are picking up meals during that time we will continue to put your updated learning packets in with your meals. When you come to pick up meals please bring your child’s completed work. Teachers are basing the pass and incomplete grade on the completion of these work packets so it is extremely important that your child does this work. Work will be returned for students to complete if it was turned in not finished. If you are not picking up meals we ask that you come get your child’s updated learning packets and return completed work anytime from 3-5 pm on Monday, April 27. If you can place your child’s completed work in some sort of bag with their name, grade, and homeroom teacher on the front that would be wonderful.
Remember, both procedures will be run as a drive through. We ask that you come into the East parking lot. A staff member will be out there to “check” you in and we will bring materials to your car. In order to practice social distancing we ask that you just open your trunk and we will place materials in the trunk. If we cannot get into your trunk we can place things in the backseat or hand them to you through the window. Please have your child’s completed work in a bag in the trunk or ready to hand through the window as well. We will make sure it gets to the correct teacher. This helps ensure that when we deliver the meals and/or updated packets we can retrieve the completed work without making physical contact as well.
