First grade is hard at work learning about place value.
Our new PBIS program that began at LGS this school year is a big hit! Our motto here is "BE RESPECTFUL, BE RESPONSIBLE and BE a PROBLEM SOLVER". The students have been hard at work earning points every time they have displayed one of these positive "BE"haviors.

Settlers in 3rd grade are getting tired of COVID 19 and are looking to make a wagon train out to Oregon. Follow us as we gather our wagons and supplies and head out west.
If you read to your child 20 minutes a day starting in Kindergarten they will have heard 1.8 million words per year. ... Reading just twenty minutes per day builds empathy for others, creates a strong vocabulary, and positively affects and boosts your mental and physical health.

PARENT WORKSHOPS ON GOOGLE, SEESAW, AND CLASS DOJO!
Calling all parents and guardians! In January, the Regional Ed. Tech Coordinator, Holly Kelly, and the Remote Outreach Specialist, Colleen Kaplan, with the Learning Technology Center of Illinois, will be hosting workshops for guardians and parents on Google Classroom, Seesaw, and ClassDoJo. The same workshop is offered three different times throughout each day to allow for flexibility with parent/guardians' schedules. Through demonstration, parents will learn how to help their student(s) navigate Google Classroom, Seesaw, or ClassDoJo.
THE WORKSHOP WILL BE AN OPPORTUNITY FOR PARENTS TO ASK QUESTIONS REGARDING EITHER PLATFORM AND HAVE A CHANCE TO BETTER HELP THEIR STUDENT.
