After visiting the site, please feel free to reach out to Mr. Shannon Cheek at 217-543-2511 with any additional questions or clarification. Thank you for investing the time to be well-informed.

Arthur CUSD #305 Invites Residents to Tour High School
Special Open Houses Provide Opportunity To See Facility Challenges
Arthur CUSD #305 residents are invited to attend one of three upcoming Open Houses the district is holding in October. The Open Houses will provide an opportunity for parents and community members to learn more about the upcoming bond referendum on the Nov. 5 ballot and to see the current facility challenges at the high school. As part of the district’s improvement project, those attending can also see improvement plans and ask questions about renovation efforts.
We have a facility plan in place to improve our high school and to improve the safety and security of the building. It’s been many decades since updates were made in our high school and we know many residents don’t see the inside of our high school and have not seen the challenges we face with the building right now. If you will invest an hour of your time, we would love to be able to show you first hand the conditions throughout the school and the improvements needed.
The bond referendum, if approved by voters, will provide funding for improvements that are needed right now. There are no frills or luxury items in the plan, but simply what our high school students need now and into the future.
Parents, students, teachers, and community members are encouraged to attend one of three Open Houses on Oct. 2nd, 15th or 30th from 5-7 p.m. at Arthur Lovington Atwood Hammond High School, 301 E. Columbia St., to learn more about the bond referendum and district improvement plans for the high school.

Check out the website for information on the referendum, tax calculator, FAQs, or to submit a question.
