Mrs. Giorgi shares that her 3-5 book club students are reading about Shirley Chisholm, the first African American woman to serve in Congress. She said “Service to others is the rent you pay for your room on earth” and the students discussed how they pay their “rent” at school, home, and on earth.
Additionally, she adds that the kids helping with concession stands have been nothing short of amazing. They basically run it on their own! They are beyond helpful and I’m very thankful for them.
Ian has earned his other reward for naming all lowercase letters!

Tuesday, we honored our 8th grade girls basketball players and Coach Farmer for his coaching career as he coached his last home game. Thanks to everyone who came out and supported our 8th graders and Coach Farmer.
