Scholastic Bowl was a little short handed tonight with 7 of our 12 kids out. These five 6th graders held their own against two varsity teams tonight and even came away with a blowout win against Villa Grove! Next up, the conference tournament on Thursday night.


Congratulations to Caleb Menna. This 6th grader has read 5 books from the Rebecca Caudill list for our school's Joust Read Challenge!!


8th Grader Brett met his bronze reading goal today! Great job, Brett!


Information for today's (Monday, March 22nd) JH Track Meet:
All athletes need to be at the HS foyer for wellness screenings from 3-3:15pm.
There are 2 spectators per athlete allowed to attend. Spectators are to follow the social distancing guidelines as well as wear masks.

First grade created listening devices Thursday and tested them out today.

Today 3rd grade did an Iditarod PE event to wrap up our Iditarod unit. Huge thank you to Mr. Kirkwood for creating Husky Hop and shoot hoops to Nome. We had a blast!



Scholastic bowl was at Okaw Valley tonight. Varsity finished 1-1 and JV finished 0-2 in a couple of close matches. Next Tuesday we will be in Arcola.

We are proud of Jansen for reaching his silver reading goal!


The preschoolers enjoyed their green buffet! We were super impressed that each kid tried every green food item we had! Pickles, green pear applesauce, green rice krispies, jello, sour cream and onion chips, veggie straws, aand andes mints!



Mrs. Branson’s first grade class sorted Lucky Charms, graphed the data and answered questions about their observations.

Congratulations to Camden Casteel and Aleena Ingram for completing their Reflex program! They are 100% fluent in addition and subtraction facts 0-10 as well as multiplication and division 0-12! Way to go!
