
Students across the district enjoy a virtual presentation from the U of I Wildlife Ambassadors to kick off our Knightly Reading program for A Boy Called Bat.



This is a reminder that tomorrow is early dismissal for Homecoming. High school will be dismissed at 1:00 and the grade schools will dismiss at 1:15. The homecoming parade starts at 2:00 in Arthur. #GoKnights

Eastern Illinois University is now accepting applications for its one-year Accelerated Post-Baccalaureate Teacher Licensure Program.
This program will begin in late May 2022 and leads to licensure in 12 months.
Applicants must hold a degree in the specific content area for which licensure is sought prior to beginning the program.
Available endorsement areas and grade spans include:
English (9-12)
Mathematics (9-12)
Science (Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, Physics) (9-12)
Social Science (History) (9-12)
CTE (Business, FCS, Technology) (5-12)
World Language (French, German, Spanish) (PK-12)

P.M. Pre-K trip to the Okaw Valley Apple Orchard! The kids had fun learning how to properly pick an apple, see the inside of the freezer, watch how cider is made, and even got to see an enclosed beehive with the queen bee!

Did you know that scientists actually classify foods such as cucumbers and tomatoes as fruits? Our third graders can tell you why! We looked closely at different foods to classify them as science fruits or science vegetables.

The ideal candidate will be a hard-working professional able to undertake a variety of office support tasks and comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion. Candidate must be proficient in technology, show initiative, flexible and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. The ability to learn new programs, including school information system software, is a must. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. Everyday duties include supporting the grade school office, working with various forms of technology, communicating and supporting students, parents, faculty, and administration as well as handling sensitive information in a confidential manner.
