Tuesday Kindergarten had Safari Day. We made binoculars and safari vests before going on our Safari!
Yesterday (5/15/23) Kindergarten had camp day. We did everything by campfire (YouTube), ate deconstructed s'mores and painted with mud. Here's our wonderful artwork.
Congratulations to Levi W. He has completed the Joust Read Challenge by reading all 20 of this year's Monarch books. Great job!!
Kindergarten ended the week with "Mad Scientist Day". We did science experiments and introduced them to Phineas and Ferb with Dr. Doofenshmirtz. We were super excited to have some High School students join in the fun today as well!!
Third grade was so thankful for the help of some high schoolers today. They came right in and helped the students on a reading project! Huge thanks to Jaydon, Kayden, Cambrie, and Rylan!

This morning, Arthur CUSD 305 celebrated and recognized our mentors and mentees for this school year. Today Kindergarten had western day. We tried roping, horseshoes , and riding a "horse".
Today third grade used supplies that they earned in their stem kits from the Book Blast! The object was to work in groups to build a swing or two for two small "toys". Without assistance from a teacher they were all successful in building a structure that did not topple or collapse when used! Great job future engineers!
Preschool LOVED making icees today! They tried so hard with the penny wars and had so much fun! Thank you parents for all the preschool participation! ❤️
Today Kindergarten enjoyed Bubble Day. We read books about bubbles, painted by blowing bubbles and just enjoyed making bubbles outside. We also had Snowballs for snack because they look like a bubble on a table with bubbly Sprite to drink.

More Kindergarten field trip fun. We got to learn some of the zoo animal names from Mrs. Luttrell's mom. Ms. Gant is a volunteer at Scovill Zoo and joined us for our walk around Scovill telling us names and animal facts.
Thursday, May 4 LGS Kindergarten went to the Children's Museum of Central Illinois and Scovill Zoo. We got to go at the Sam time as AHGS and AGS. Fun was had by all. We couldn't of had a prettier day.
Third grade had so much fun yesterday on their field trip to the Children's Museum and Spitler's Woods! They learned how to build their very own robots in their stem class!

Notice of Public Meeting
On Tuesday, May 30 at 9:30 a.m., a meeting will be conducted by Arthur CUSD #305, 301 E. Columbia, Arthur, IL 61911 in the high school cafeteria. The purpose of this meeting will be to discuss the district’s plans for providing special education services to students with disabilities who attend private schools and home schools within the district for the 2023-2024 school year. If you are the parent of a home-schooled student who has been or may be identified with a disability and you reside within the boundaries of the Arthur CUSD #305, you are urged to attend.
