Our voyage starts next week when we’ll cast off in search of Book Blast treasure. Once you receive your Treasure Map next week, the treasure hunt begins! Be sure to complete it for a chance to win one of 4 Treasure Chests stuffed with cash and even an Apple iPad! Mrs. Beckmier and two of her ag students, Noah Shoemaker and Brody Louden, presented at the school board meeting about their drone project through the University of Illinois Extension.

Congratulations to Alexis Chism. She has met the Joust Read Challenge by reading 10 books from the Illinois Readers' Choice Bluestem List. We are so proud of her! Look for her spotlight on the library website!

LGS 1st Grade has been learning some great life lessons thanks to Martin Luther King, Jr. and some eggs! We've talked about how things/people can look different on the outside but are still the same on the inside.
