We hosted open houses a couple of weeks ago so everyone could learn, first-hand, about our schools and the plan to improve them. If you couldn’t make it, that doesn’t mean you can’t see the condition of our schools and learn more about our June 28th referendum. If you would like a tour of our schools, call 217-543-2511.

Election day is less than a month away. Make sure you are fully informed about our bond proposal. Please visit our website at www.cusd305.org or call 217-543-2511.

ALAH hosted Mt. Zion, Tuscola, and Tri-County for our 7th and 8th Grade Basketball Shootout today. #GoKnights

It is a beautiful morning to celebrate our incoming Freshman class! 8th Grade promotion will be at 10 am at the football field. Please note that the grass is going to be wet, but the chairs will be dry! We look forward to celebrating our 8th graders this morning!

Due to the weather it has been decided to move the 8th grade promotion to Saturday, May 28 @ 10:00 am. Students need to arrive to the promotion by 9:30 am. We will send another notification letting you know if it will be held in the Arthur Lovington Atwood-Hammond High School gym or if it will be on the football field. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we depend on the weather to make these calls.

Very proud of these 8th grade girls for reaching their reading goals before the end of the year. Pictured McKenzie T. (Earned Silver), Alyssa (Red), and Cambrie (Red). Not pictured: Daylon earned his bronze award while Halle also earned her red award. Way to read, 8th graders!!!!

3rd grade has had a great last few days!! Thanks to all you came out for Lunch on the Lawn. Have a great summer LGS!!

Just a few reminders about our field day and Lunch on the Lawn day tomorrow! We are so excited to welcome parents to join us for lunch. You may want to bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on with your student(s).
We will still do this even if it rains. We will just have to be creative in spreading out throughout our building!
We also have Kona Ice here and our PTCO has graciously offered to buy all students the "Klassic" drink of their choice. If students want to upgrade their drink they are welcome to bring additional money to cover the difference.
Hope to see you tomorrow!

5th grade field trip to Springfield

Kindergarten had a blast “camping.” We painted Winthrop mud and we painted with marshmallows. We tried to build with dry spaghetti and marshmallows. We had Goldfish S’mores for snack.
